Olive Grove is a small upmarket guesthouse situated close to Windhoek city centre in a quiet, peaceful area. Big Sky's first property in Windhoek and bordering The Olive Exclusive, the guesthouse takes homely atmosphere to a different level. Recently completely refurbished, each room has been decorated and painted with new color schemes allowing for a different feel, but with the same elegant and simplistic emphasis on décor.

Each of the ten rooms and one suite cater for every need of the most discerning traveller, the emphasis remains one of simplicity and elegance. All our rooms are furnished and fitted in a simplistic, but stylish fashion. Extensive use has been made of natural stone cement, especially in the bathrooms, which are spacious and particularly indulgent. Moroccan lights give the room a romantic feel, further enhanced by dimming switches which give guests the option of choosing the brightness and therefore the ambience. Rooms are configured such that we can accommodate requests for double (queen size) beds, or for twin (3/4 size) beds. Some of the bedrooms have a more open bathroom, while others have a more traditional, en-suite bathroom. The overall feeling is one of comfort and coolness, with all the facilities and added touches aimed at ensuring our guests have an enjoyable and pleasurable stay.
There are 5 Standard en-suite (downstairs), 5 Luxury en-suite rooms (upstairs) and 1 Executive Suite all featuring the following:

The five standard rooms feature the same interior, furnishings & fittings as the luxury rooms, but are situated closer to the main reception & restaurant area. They are therefore not as private or as quiet as the other rooms.
Executive Suite
This large, 80m², spacious suite has its own private lounge and dining area, separate bedroom and luxurious bathroom, which begs for pampering and self-indulgence. For the travelling executive, the private lounge is perfect for small meetings or a convenient 'home office'.
Dining
The newly renovated, open-plan kitchen allows guests to see how meals are prepared, while they enjoy a drink in the lounge. The menu was also reinvented and is now fully a la carte, quite unique for a guesthouse. Home-style food is rounded off with great presentation, pushing up the level of the guesthouse dining experience. The upper deck has been revamped into a private dining corner, with two Moroccan-style sections, for guests to get comfy on the large pillows and enjoy the ambience and view from the top.
Dining is an important aspect of what we offer at Olive Grove Guesthouse and in order to enhance our guests experience, we have recently created an upper dining area where guests can enjoy their meals in relative privacy.
This area is away from the usual dining area allowing us to offer exclusive private dining experiences to guests looking for a bit more privacy and intimacy. This has already proven to be very popular with our honeymoon guests.
A separate buffet table is set up for breakfasts and the usual selection of hot breakfast items are still delivered to the table. Enjoy the hearty "Scottish breakfast' served with single malt Scotch whisky or the indulgent Canadian pancakes (pictured) served with maple syrup and a selection of fruit or go for the full Namibian 'fry up'.
For a truly wonderful evening meal, guests can enjoy a selection from our new a la carte dinner menu designed by award-winning consultant chef, Jacque Erasmus. A small, uniquely Namibian menu designed to keep things simple, freshly prepared and delicious.
Spa
The on-site Wellness Room offers a selection of professional services, to assist guests on their journey towards inner and outer well-being.
Complementing the tranquil, relaxed atmosphere of Olive Grove, our Wellness Room will help you relax and de-stress after a long flight, or will provide just the perfect end to an adventurous holiday. After your treatment, unwind in our tranquil garden, select a light lunch from our delectable menu, and enjoy some of that ever-elusive “time-out”.
