EYES
ON AFRICA
About Us - Our African Safari Travel Company & Safari Guides
Eyes on Africa
was created with the vision of sharing the wonders of the African
continent with those who are eager to explore some of the world's most
magnificent areas...areas that combine pristine, natural beauty, incredible
wildlife, cultural diversity and remote, unspoiled and untamed wilderness.
If you want to experience the true
essence of Africa, then the big lodges filled with masses of tourists
are not for you. We, in conjunction with only the very best of our
local
African partners, are here to offer you large, remote, private
and exclusive concessions that cater to a minimal number of guests.
With
so few guests in such large unspoiled tracts of wilderness, the magical
feeling is unlike anything you are likely to ever experience.
Whether you want to plan the perfect
honeymoon, the daring African adventure holiday, the ultimate African
safari or a unique family vacation,
Africa offers it all. Eyes on Africa are here to offer you photographic
African safaris, eco tourism and adventure travel. All our trips are
tailor-made to our guests' specifications - so no two trips will ever
be alike.
Whatever your special interest, we have something that will meet your
needs.
We
do all the research, plan your itinerary, provide necessary information
and cover all details – all you need to do is pack your bag and
prepare for the African vacation of a lifetime.
Eyes on Africa is run by people who know
the African continent intimately, who have lived there and who
know the people and places. It is run by people who were born and raised
in Africa and who continue to return year after year - not only to refresh
their knowledge, but predominantly because of the love and passion that
they have for its areas.
Eyes on Africa is owned and managed by Nicky
Glover and James
Weis.

OUR TEAM
Nicky Glover
Nicky,
who was born and raised in South Africa, has now found a way to combine
her love of nature and wildlife with her passion for the continent
of her birth. She has always excelled in the travel field and after
achieving top honours in her studies; she went on to work for Wild
Africa Safaris to gain valuable experience before moving on to a
more challenging position. She was pleased to find herself at Wilderness
Safaris, which is one of the leading African Safari operators in
Africa and naturally Eyes on Africa’s preferred
ground handler. Here she headed up a group of enthusiastic staff,
where her vibrant
and outgoing personality, along with her experience and first hand
knowledge of all camps and lodges succeeded in growing not only her
own team but also in turn the company.
Her enthusiasm and efficiency
will make your bookings and dealings with her a pleasure and will
ensure you truly appreciate and thoroughly enjoy your African adventure.
Her management of Eyes on Africa will give her the freedom to ensure
every effort will be for your convenience, enjoyment and hassle free
travel. |

your African safari. Based on his repeated visits and his extensive
knowledge of the fauna and flora of the region, he will help you
plan the
ultimate
African safari.
Are you a first-time visitor? James can provide first-hand
tips for the nervous first-time traveler to this unforgettable
corner of the world. Would you like to take beautiful photos?

Adele van Jaarsveld
I love South Africa. It is the country of my birth and where I continue to leave my heart through all of my travels. I was born in Kimberley, but spent most of my childhood in small towns along the beautiful Garden Route. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to call home. I feel such a deep sense of pride to live in this incredible country.
My passion for travel started at an early age, as my family traveled throughout Southern Africa at every opportunity. I soon learned that it's really not only about the destinations that you reach; it's the whole journey and what you get to experience along the way. I love good food, good company, campfires and a wide open sky. And these are the things that Africa is all about.
When I finished school, the choice to turn my love for travel into my career was a natural one. So, I studied travel and tourism, and have been helping people plan their tailor-made African safaris and holidays for the past 15 years. I started as a destination specialist at SA Tours and Safaris, where I sold beautiful South African safaris for four years. Then, I joined Siyabona Africa, which meant extending my services to the greater area of Southern Africa. From here, I became a travel agent at the leading East African company, Asilia. I became the Sales Manager after two years, with a team of consultants around South and East Africa. All of this enabled me to travel extensively and get a real taste of what worked and what didn’t. After four years as Sales Manager, I was excited to join the Eyes on Adventure team, as this was the opportunity I wanted to take me even further afield in my travels and experience.
I still love every second of selling our beautiful continent and fulfilling someone’s dream to travel.
I have traveled extensively within South Africa, as well as all over Southern and East Africa. Some of the most notable places I’ve visited include Namibia, Malawi, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique, Kenya, Tanzania and Rwanda. Internationally, I’ve also traveled through Europe, Thailand and various parts of the USA.
I joined the Eyes on Africa / Eyes on Adventure team in 2014, and am now thrilled to be able to grow with them, and to expand my destinations and the experiences I can offer to other countries throughout Africa, Asia and the Americas. I love learning about and experiencing new places and cultures first hand, and EOA gives me the opportunity to spread my travel wings and explore, ultimately sharing my adventures with my clients.. |
Our commitment to you as the discerning
traveler is to not only provide the best service at the most reasonable
cost, but to share with you the splendor of this truly diverse and magnificent
continent. We want you to return home with a yearning to go back.
You may leave Africa, but Africa will
never leave you!
Come and share the wonders that Africa
has to offer you.
With warm wishes,
The Eyes on Africa / Eyes on Adventure Travel Team
