The
Zambezi Sun is a 212-room hotel appealing primarily to families
and conference delegates. The guest rooms acknowledge their African
roots in the deep rich red earth colour of the rounded planes
of its walls. In the early evening the dark outline of the hotel
is set against iridescent curls of smoky vapour that dance above
its roofline.
Location
The resort is situated in the 46-hectare Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Wildlife
Park, which fringes the Zambezi River. Victoria Falls is recognised
as one of the seven natural wonders of the world, and has been declared
a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. |

This 3-star hotel features adobe-style architecture.
Simple finishes highlight bright mosaics and fabrics and the intoxicating environment
is characterised by ethnic wall stencils, timber and plaster ceilings, Zambian
artworks and accessories. It is constructed in a series of eight buildings,
consisting of the guest rooms, a central pavilion of restaurants and a fabulous
convention centre.

influences of Africa and the results are a culinary exploration garnered
from the many different cultures that prevail in this diverse and
delightful continent.

Capacity: 180 Seats under cover and 200 seats outside.
Food is an interactive process at the Zambezi Sun where Chefs actively
prepare magical creations under the watchful eye of their guests. It
is food theatre at its best.
The restaurant atmosphere is relaxed
and casual and provides an extremely enjoyable buffet experience, especially
for families. The entrée
selection is superb from crayfish corn chowder, to crocodile terrine,
and carpaccio of ostrich marinated with basil and mustard. Mighty salads,
original vegetable dishes and meat and fish dishes make up the main courses
and the desserts are sublime concoctions of chocolate ravioli and paw
paw coulis.
The Poolside Grill

Capacity: 100 seats around the pool
The "al fresco" grill
is located alongside the entertainment floor at the pool. An ideal location
for light, inexpensive poolside lunches.
Squires
Open Daily: 12h00 - 23h00
Situated in The Falls Entertainment Centre, Squires Grill offers a tempting
menu of tasty lunch and dinner dishes.
Crocodile Cafe
Open Daily: 09h00 - 21h00
Situated at The Falls Entertainment Centre, guests can sit outside beneath
the shade of an old Acacia tree and enjoy a light meal, croissants, pastries,
coffees and drinks at this delightful coffee shop.
Adventure Bar & Restaurant
The Adventure Bar and Restaurant is a hive of activity. The ideal venue
to chill out, regale fellow travellers with the days adventurous experiences,
enjoy international sports videos, and just have a good-time.

Activities
At the heart of the Resort is the Falls Entertainment Centre, It
is here that one can sense adventure, where explorations are discussed
and planned. All tours begin and end at this thrilling hub of entertainment
and recreational pleasure.
The River
For guests with an appreciation for adventure, the Zambezi
is Africa's playground. Guests may view Africa's Big Five on a
cruise up the river, up close from a private Land Rover, or even
take in the scenery from the elevated perspective of an Elephant's
back. Keen sportsmen can pit their wiles against the legendary
Tigerfish, or test their nerves against the mighty rapids of the
Batoka Gorge in a white water raft or a jet boat. In the quiet
evening, you may choose to spend your time in one of the sophisticated
bars of the resort or trying your luck in The Falls Casino, and
then fall asleep between crisp cool sheets to the sounds of the
ancient African night.
Cycling
To allow guests to explore the surrounding area, there are mountain bikes
for hire at The Falls Activity Centre.
Swimming
The poolside beckons and the service is superior. There are a variety
of poolside activities at the Zambezi Sun that encourage guests to
venture towards its azure blue depths. The huge free-form pool meanders
round a pavilion restaurant and an outdoor bandstand and dance floor.
An established group entertain guests with soft jazz, blues and impromptu
pop music. The pool deck is also the scene of more formal occasions
such as cocktail receptions and alfresco dining.
Happy Hippo Club
The Happy
Hippo
Club, which is every child's idea of holiday heaven, gives parents
plenty of free time to discover all the area's attractions. Children
enjoy a varied range
of activities that include full day or half day excursions to places
of interest, daily fun and games and nature walks.
This supervised haven is available to children from 2 - 12 years of
age. Children between the ages of 2 - 4 must be accompanied by an adult,
or babysitter (available at an extra cost), if they are not potty-trained.
Babysitters can be arranged through your hotel and are also available
during the evening.
Staff are specially selected and undergo extensive training in child-care
and first aid, ensuring that the child and the parent feel protected
