OLDER
BULL ELEPHANTS like this one are typically
encountered in small groups with other bulls
and are usually quite relaxed and approachable
in a vehicle. While in the Okavango during
the rainy season, we stopped to watch a group
of three large bulls grazing. As they
fed, they literally walked straight up to
our Land Rover, enabling me to capture this
close-up
