Stellenbosch, nestled in the heart
of history and Cape Wine Country, is home to River Manor. Founded
in 1679, this town is known as a "place of gables, oaks and
wine."
A true feast for the eye, intellect and the soul. Set across from
the Eerste River, in the historic, oak-lined 'Avenue', these two
(see next paragraph) gracious manors were built in the early
1900's and are a mere two minutes stroll from the village center,
with its
many
restaurants,
museums and art galleries.
River Manor is now pleased to announce
the addition of the adjoining historical residence "Moedersloon".
We now offer the same character and charm, with 8 new spacious en-suite
rooms all
furnished with original antiques providing comfort and luxury. We have
also added a second pool and a wellness spa for guest to simply self-indulge

All rooms have been stylishly furnished with antiques
in keeping with the theme "Colonial charm with a touch of Africa." Spacious
en-suite bedrooms, elegantly decorated with antiques, combine old world
charm with modern conveniences. Rooms
are equipped with the necessary modern conveniences (TV with MNet,
hairdryer, ceiling fan, wall safe, bar fridge, heating) and the luxuries
of complimentary Port and Sherry trays along with soft toweling bathrobes.
Air conditioned rooms are available on request.
Secretarial services are available
at reception, along with Internet and email facilities. At the end
of the day, guests can retire to
the luxury and comfort of the lounge or veranda sipping sundowners
whilst watching the sun set against the majestic Simonsberg mountain
range.
Superior Rooms: (8 in total)
These are beautiful, and spacious rooms with generously proportioned
bathrooms, and include bath and separate shower - some include original
Victorian baths. Air-conditioning is available in all these rooms.
Classic Rooms: (6 in total)
These rooms are slightly smaller with en-suite bathrooms, with shower
or bath only. Some of these Classic Rooms are set in the garden overlooking
the swimming pool (air-conditioned rooms available on request).
Petite Rooms: (2
in total)
These rooms are small with en-suite shower only and have the same facilities
and services as the other room types.

Before expoloring the beauty of the

The Spa at River Manor
is situated within a tranquil garden, overlooking an inviting swimming
pool. Within this
intimate Spa, guests may indulge
in true luxury and pampering, where the Dermalogica Proffessional Range
of products is used – allowing for personalised treatments, using
only the highest quality active ingredients.
Following in the French
Spa tradition, the emphasis at the Spa is to allow for rest, relaxation
and the restoring of the inner being. A comprehensive range of Body
and Beauty Treatments is offered, with guests able to enjoy further
relaxation in the garden, at the poolside
on the wrap around verandas.
Pamper your self with one of
the facial treatments, BASIC, INTENSIVE AND MULTIVITAMIN POWER
FACIAL. Before starting each
of these facials,

Activities
A stay of at least three nights is recommended
in order to appreciate fully all that Stellenbosch and the Winelands
have to offer. River Manor is only 45 minutes away from Cape Town,
25 minutes from the International Airport, 15 minutes to the Strand
Beach and an ideal base from which to explore the towns of Paarl (30
mins), Franschhoek (20 mins), Hermanus (60 mins) and Tulbagh (80 mins).
