This luxurious and highly acclaimed boutique hotel has eight individually decorated rooms which boast marble bathrooms and an unsurpassable quality of amenities, linen and towels. The interiors are an unmistakable blend of African chic and contemporary styles with deluxe fabrics and eclectic finishes throughout.
The rooms come with many extras such as underfloor heating, air conditioning, DVD players and spa treatments on request.

Bathrooms are a sensuous experience, with features such as custom made sunken baths, twin showers, and enormous bath sheets to wrap up in afterwards. A glass wall from one bathroom even overlooks a private outdoor tropical garden and fishpond.

Each of the eight suites is intriguingly named after one of Henry VIII’s wives or daughters and is regally furnished with a vast double bed and private terrace overlooking the city skyline, harbour and mountains.

Hotel Facilities and Services
The hotel itself is elegantly decorated blending African and European styles and hosts an interesting array of original paintings and photographs. The featuring of Kensington Place in numerous international design and décor magazines attest to its recognition as a world class boutique hotel.

Set in a remarkable location in the foothills of Table Mountain in Higgovale, Kensington Place is a small exclusive hotel that treats guests with a refreshing approach to hospitality and excellent service. Not only are guests indulged by beautiful surroundings, but this heavenly hotel also places them within easy access to the city centre, historical sites, luxurious beaches and picturesque vineyards.

Outside is a wooden deck surrounded by silky, muted curtains with oversized cushions scattered on wicker lounge chairs. The deck extends around the pool which is just big enough to cool off in. In the summer this area is decorated with candles, and the setting is romantic enough to have been the scene of more than a few marriage proposals! The hotel offers free internet access for guests and free entrance to the Virgin Active Gym in Green Point.

Dining and Cuisine
The small dining room is elegant and functional, and contains a small bar area where guests can enjoy a late night whiskey after a day’s sightseeing.

In addition to breakfast, a chef is on duty to prepare gourmet lunch and dinner five days a week. Food prepared at Kensington Place is fresh and simple with enticing flavours. These meals can also be enjoyed in the dining room or in the privacy of your suite or terrace or lounging by the swimming pool.

There is 24 hour bar room service for those not wishing to venture as far as the dining room.
