PENINSULA (Private
Half-Day Tour)
Depart the city along the picturesque Atlantic Seaboard past the fishing village of Hout Bay and head over the 600m heights of Chapman’s Peak Drive, one of the world’s most spectacular passes.
Drive on past the Cape’s longest beach near Noordhoek and down this beautiful coast (with a chance to sight Southern Right Whales just offshore from June to November).
Enter the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, for a chance to see endemic animals like Eland Cape Mountain Zebra and Baboon. At the tip of the Peninsula at Cape Point, take the funicular to capture the magical vistas of False Bay at this, the south westernmost point of Africa - legendary among seafarers.
Continue down the False Bay coast for a visit to Boulders Beach and a close-up with a colony of African Penguins, then head back to the city around midday through the naval village of Simonstown and over Boyes Drive, taking in views of the fishing harbour at Kalk Bay and the seaside havens of St James and Muizenberg.
