HUNTER'S COUNTRY
HOUSE -
PLETTENBERG BAY, THE GARDEN ROUTE, SOUTH AFRICA
Hunter’s is an exclusive family
owned retreat, set in the heart of the magnificent Garden Route of
the Western Cape. Situated 10km
west of South Africa’s premier resort town of Plettenberg Bay
with it’s endless golden beaches and magnificent indigenous
forests, and 20km east of the lagoon town of Knysna, the hotel is
surrounded by rich indigenous forests
and framed by the majestic Tsitsikamma mountains.
The Hunter's first fell in love with
Pear Tree Farm in 1979, with dedication they have transformed this
farm into a beautiful country estate.
The gracious, original
homestead is reminiscent of the traditional country architecture
of the region. In the extensive gardens surrounding the manor
house are 23 luxurious guest suites, each one individually decorated
and designed for the absolute comfort and privacy that one would
expect
from a Relais & Chateaux property.
Hunter Hotels presents a trio (Hunter's
Country House, Tsala Treetop Lodge and Gorah Elephant Camp) of prestigious,
family-run establishments
along the magnificent Garden Route of the
Western Cape and the malaria-free game frontier of the Eastern Cape
of South Africa.
Epitomizing service excellence
and the impeccable dedication of a team of 145 dedicated staff,
each of the 3 Hunter’s properties
has achieved a remarkable synergy of a classic service ethic and the
finest present-day
standards of luxury.
This multi-award
winning property is the flagship of the Hunter Hotel Group and defines
the benchmark for sumptuous country living, exemplary service and
acclaimed gourmet
cuisine. South Africa’s Hotel of the Year and a member - Relais & Chateaux.
Member - L.I.H.S.A. SA’s Top 100 Restaurants. Member - Chaine des
Rotisseurs. |
