VISTORIA FALLS RIVER LODGE - ZAMBEZI CRESCENT - ZAMBEZI
NATIONAL PARK, ZIMBABWE
Victoria Falls River Lodge is the first private game lodge to be set in the Zambezi National Park. This newly built luxury tented lodge is situated on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River – so close to Victoria Falls one can see the spray in the distance!
Uninterrupted panoramic views of African sunsets and exceptional wildlife viewing makes this uniquely located lodge the ideal place from which to explore Victoria Falls as it combines the safari experience with one of the world's most famous tourist destinations!
The main lodge has an open plan design and has been positioned just back from the river – in view of the elephants' natural evening route. Sit back and sip on a cocktail, under the shade of the thatched roof, as the elephants graze along the river line. It's a cool escape from the African sun.
Victoria Falls River Lodge takes relaxation one step further offering a selection of in-room massages, pedicures and manicures. We also offer a tour desk and gift shop with an exclusive selection of high quality arts and crafts from talented local artists.

Each tent has been tastefully decorated in earthy hues and offers a larger than king size bed, freestanding bath, comfortable sitting area, indoor and outdoor shower and a private viewing deck where one can sit and watch the hippos wallowing.
The only thing that resembles a tent in these 5 star rooms is the canvas on the outside!
Family tents also offer an additional tented room, with one single and one bunk bed, where three children can sleep comfortably, allowing their parents a bit more privacy.
Standard in each 'tent' are mosquito nets, a mini bar, electronic safe, fans, aircon and international adaptors to help make your stay as pleasant as possible.
Activities
Safari Experience
We are very proud to have the lodge situated in the Zambezi National Park. This means that some of Africa's most amazing animals are right on our doorstep. Elephant, hippo, crocodile, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, impala and even the occasional big cat can be viewed in the park.
Our trained Field Guides offer guests two safari options:
• The first is to take a river cruise along the Zambezi and, whilst sipping a sundowner, marvel at the animals that come to the waters edge to drink at the end of the day.
• For the ultimate bush safari experience, head out in a game-viewer to explore the 150,000 acres that make up the Zambezi National Park. Track the elephant herds as they move silently through the bush and admire the giraffe as they weave their way through the acacia thicket.
Other Safari Activities on offer at the lodge (which can be arranged at an additional cost):
Take a night drive through the Park as the bush comes alive with nocturnal wildlife once the sun has gone down. Alternatively, for the more adventurous, embark on a once-in-a-lifetime walking safari with our expert trails guides. Feel Africa's soil beneath your feet as you get up close and personal with the African wild.
For the adrenalin junkie there is white water rafting, bungee jumping, gorge swinging, zip lining and helicopter flips over the Falls. If high-flying adventure isn't your thing, canoeing and fishing trips along the Zambezi or horseback safaris in the National Park may also be arranged. If it's a more cultural experience you are after, take a guided tour of the historic town or a shopping trip to the local market.
Zambezi Kids
Kids are important to us and Victoria Falls River Lodge offers a holiday experience for the whole family. Children are invited to participate in local activities like grass weaving, bread-making and fishing. Qualified Field Guides also conduct special "kids tours" around the lodge, uncovering an amazing world of plants and wildlife - right on their doorsteps. Child minders too may be arranged, ensuring that children are looked after whilst their parents have a little adult time.
Dining
The Victoria Falls River Lodge kitchen has been specially designed by
Bruce Bromberg, American Celebrity Chef from 'Blue Ribbon."
Our menus cater to all tastes and include a variety of local traditional dishes,
prepared by our expert Zimbabwean Chef, ensuring that
the only thing to rival our food is the view!
