THE WESTCLIFF
HOTEL
The Westcliff – part
of the exclusive collection of Orient-Express Hotels - is one of
Johannesburg’s
most luxurious hotels. Located in the peaceful residential suburb
of Westcliff, the hotel is built on a hillside in the style of a
Mediterranean village, with spectacular views over the city’s
Zoological Gardens.
The Westcliff has been developed to exacting
standards intended to
meet, if not exceed,
the demands of top-level local and international business and leisure
travelers. In an effort to make guests feel at home “away from
home”, and to facilitate their stay in the City of Gold, The Westcliff
has a range of tailor-made services designed to do just that.
The hotel's vertiginous
vantage point is becoming renowned as a location to enjoy the celestial
splendors of the African night skies - from
rare eclipses to spectacular star fields and full moons rising-
not forgetting the twinkling city nightscapes, which are always
in evidence. While on a clear day one can almost see
forever from the Westcliff's vantage, guests can explore
the horizons even further by making use of the telescope
which has been installed on the pool terrace.
The hotel's limousine service may be arranged to transport guests from
Johannesburg International Airport and to the Rovos Rail and the Blue
Train embarkation point at Pretoria Station. A complimentary shuttle
takes visitors to the elegant shopping districts of Sandton, Hyde Park
and Rosebank. |
