VICTORIA & ALFRED HOTEL - VICTORIA & ALFRED WATERFRONT, CAPE TOWN
This landmark hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront and offers spectacular views of the working harbour and Table Mountain. Walk in the utmost safety to some of the finest retail outlets from designer stores to restaurants, craft markets, cinemas, boat cruises to Robben Island and entertainment in the amphitheatre.

Built in 1904 as the North Quay Warehouse and converted into a luxury hotel in 1990, the V&A Hotel is named in honour of the Queen of England and her son who visited the Cape in 1870 when Prince Alfred officially opened the Breakwater Basin – today’s Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.

Drive along the N2 and follow the signs into Cape Town. When the highway forks, take the right fork which leads onto the Nelson Mandela Boulevard (previously known as Eastern Boulevard). When you reach the intersection at the end of the highway (at the Waterfront), you will see the Cape Town Convention Centre (CTICC) on your left. Turn Right at the traffic light into main V&A Waterfront entrance (Coen Steytler Entrance). Continue along Dock Road and at the traffic circle take the first exit. At the next traffic circle take the second exit and continue straight along Dock Road. You will drive past the Two Oceans Aquarium on your right, the blue shed craft market and then the Musica store. The Victoria & Alfred Hotel is situated on your right hand side shortly after the Musica store.

It’s the precise details that gives the Victoria & Alfred Hotel its elegance, intimacy, romance and reputation….the wooden staircase, the telescope, flowers and the service….friendly and efficient yet never intrusive.

Walk in the utmost safety to some of the finest retail outlets from designer stores to restaurants, craft markets, cinemas, boat cruises to Robben Island and entertainment in the amphitheatre.

As the last rays of the reflected sun fade against the backdrop of the mountain before the moonlight and night lights lend more romance, sip a sundowner or two in our cocktail bar.

With its picture postcard views of Cape Town’s working harbour and Table Mountain, OYO Restaurant & Cocktail Bar is arguably the finest dining location in the V&A Waterfront.
