Nestled inconspicuously among dense stands of Knobthorn and Jackalberry trees lie individually hand crafted suites sensitively designed to blend with the environment and carefully positioned to enhance privacy. Sophisticated yet simple, each suite has spectacular views whether from the unique en-suite bathrooms and salas or individual private plunge pools.

Simbambili has become the flagship of the Thornybush Portfolio and boasts 8 luxury thatch-roof suites each with private plunge pool and elevated sala. The camp offers accommodation for a maximum of 16 guests. Each chalet has its own river view and private viewing deck. The chalets also offer en-suite bathrooms and air-conditioning. Tireless attention to detail and the desires of its guests are made possible by limiting this exclusive experience to so few guests.

Simbambili accommodations also include the following:
• Private plunge pools.
• Private salas.
• Curio Shop.
• En suite indoor / outdoor bath and shower.
• Boma
• Air-conditioned suites.
• Mini Bars.
• Library / meeting room.

All this is complemented by elegant cuisine, a selection fine wines from our cellar and by the warmth of true African hospitality.

Activities
Morning and evening safaris in open landrovers are conducted by qualified rangers and trackers from all lodges, with walks encouraged for the more adventurous. Children under the age of 6 are not permitted on safaris or walks. Children between the age of 6 and 12 will be permitted at the sole discretion of lodge management.

Guests are encouraged to enjoy the extraordinary and unique wildlife of Africa via game drives. Whether it is your choice to linger at a close encounter with Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino and Buffalo or to be amazed by the extensive array of birds and insects, the Sabi Sand Reserve is sure to impress even the experienced safari-goer.

Your ranger and tracker team will astound you with their ability to track big game, whether on foot or on an open vehicle safari. Fascinating insights will be conveyed into this extraordinary environment.

Wildlife
The Sabi-Sand Game Reserve borders the world-renowned Kruger National Park, but no fences intrude here - wildlife moves and migrates freely throughout the region, providing fantastic game-viewing opportunities from open, four-wheel drive vehicles. Simbambili offers wonderful opportunities for big five sightings; Elephant, Lion, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhinoceros. The Sabi Sand Reserve has an even higher bio-mass of animals per hectare Kruger National Park.
