CHEETAH PLAINS - CHEETAH PLAINS GAME RESERVE, SABI SAND GAME RESERVE
Cheetah Plains Private Reserve lies adjacent to the Kruger National Park, in the northwest corner of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve. There are no fences between the two reserves, allowing game to move freely between the two areas. Cheetah Plains has on its one boundary the Kruger National Park and on the other Mala Mala - perfect neighbours!  You are also guaranteed exclusivity – our private concession traversing rights dictate that only two commercial game vehicles at a time can traverse the individual areas, exclusivity at game sightings is the norm at Cheetah Plains. Cheetah Plains is one of the oldest bush camps in the Sabi Sand, where the emphasis is on offering guests traditional Safari values, comfortable accommodation, with great food, prepared around the campfire. An excellent game viewing on 8500 ha and friendly attentive staff will round our safari off.  At our lodge, bush buck roam among the chalets. You will hear the sound of animal calls at night: lion, wild dog, heyana and more can be heard calling out across the bushveld. Cheetah Plains Private Game Reserve is located in the famous Sabi Sand Game Reserve in South Africa -  where Africa’s Big Five – leopard, lion, African elephant, black rhinoceros and Cape buffalo – and more roam freely.

Cheetah Plains was originally part of Djuma Game Reserve, which was owned by the Moolman family. In November 2008, Japie van Niekerk (New Africa Developments) bought the reserve and, in 2010, it officially became Cheetah Plains Private Game Reserve.

The main lodge is a common area where our guests are invited to put their feet up, browse the internet to get in touch with family and friends, have a cocktail or cup of coffee, and simply relax while surrounded by the sights and sounds of the African bushveld.

Personal Safety
Cheetah Plains Private Game Reserve and Lodge is situated in a natural wildlife "big 5" game reserve and, as such, animals move freely through the camp - day and night.  Do not walk outside the demarcated perimeter of the camp without the assistance of a guide, or anywhere in camp at night unless accompanied by a night-watchman, guide or manager. Be aware at all times.

Valuables
We advise that you place all your valuables in the digital safe provided in your room.
