PENINSULA WITH
SEA KAYAKING & BABOON WALK (Private Full-Day Tour)
Depart the city for Simonstown to meet a sea-kayaking guide for a safety briefing. Then gear up for a few hours' easy paddling in twin kayaks along the False Bay coast. (These are safe, comfortable 'sit-on-top' kayaks, which require almost no balance or skill!)
Paddle to Boulders Beach's famous colony of African penguins and view them from the ocean as they swim around this quaint cove.
Lunch at a local seafood restaurant on the False Bay Coast.
Drive to Baboon Matters base camp in Simonstown to meet qualified baboon monitors. We learn all about the last remaining Chacma baboons on the Cape Peninsula then take a walk through the mountain fynbos, for a guided encounter with a troop of Chacma baboons in their natural mountain environment. Discover their habits as they eat, play and socialise.
Return to the city over the spectacular 600m heights of Chapman's Peak drive and along the Altantic seaboard, passing the villages of Hout Bay and Camps Bay.
NOTE: Kayaking portion is scheduled, transfers and Peninsula are private.
