The Swakopmund Hotel includes 90
spacious rooms and two sumptuous Presidential Suites overlooking
a charming courtyard and swimming pool, all with satellite TV.
The 43 twin rooms, 30 family rooms,
14 luxury rooms, 2 luxury suites, and 1 paraplegic room are all decorated
in a Victorian style reminiscent of a bygone era of grace and civility.
Rooms have individual aircon, television, tea/coffee making facilities,
bathroom with bath, shower and toilet, direct dial phones, electronic
safes, electric razor plugs, fully stocked mini bars, hair dryers, eight
channel TV including a German channel and MNet.

The Swakopmund Hotel offers
two restaurants, the Platform One, built in elegant Victorian style,
offers exquisite cuisine combined with first class service, and the
Captain's Tavern, where you can feast on Namibia's bountiful sea harvest
of rock lobster, calamari, kabeljou and many more seafood delicacies,
all prepared and served to perfection. Both restaurants have a selection
of the finest wines that southern Africa has to offer.
Platform One
Befitting
its Victorian theme, dinner at the Platform One Restaurant is
a slightly ostentatious
affair. Here you can choose the à la
carte menu or a speciality buffet. Platform One also serves breakfast,
lunch and
light meals through the day.
Captain's Tavern
Alternatively,
you can opt for the Captain's Tavern restaurant, next to the
Mermaid Casino. A catch of fresh line fish, shellfish and other
seafood is served straight from the Namibian waters. And nobody's
better to prepare this feast than chef Louis Anuszkiewiez.
