Chobe Game Lodge, the only permanent game lodge situated within the Chobe National Park, is Botswana's premier venue for guests looking for a perfect base to explore the Chobe National Park & Chobe River. Chobe's wildlife roams in abundance and diversity. It is home to the largest concentration of elephant in Africa and during the dry season these herds, as well as large herds of buffalo, congregate along the fertile flood plains of the Chobe River. Magnificent sightings of lion, wild dog, puku, red lechwe, sable, giraffe and roan antelope are also frequent in the area. Chobe Game Lodge

The lodge accommodates up to 94 guests in absolute luxury. Rooms are river-facing, and include minibars, en-suite bathrooms, tea and coffee making facilities as well as private terraces. All 47 rooms at the lodge are river facing and air conditioned with overhead fans, complimentary mini bar, en-suite bathrooms and private terrace. For those guests who demand the ultimate in exclusivity, Chobe Game Lodge has four river view suites, each with their own plunge pool and a separate lounge area
Other facilities include a fully equipped conference room seating up to 90 people, broadband internet, billiards, library, gym, beauty salon, a stylish cigar bar overlooking the Chobe River, a large terraced swimming pool and riverside boma area.
The resident professional guides & environmentalist also offer star gazing on our stargazing deck. Should you wish to pamper yourself, schedule an appointment with the in-house beautician or book our gym for a private workout.
Meals are catered for at the terrace restaurant overlooking the Chobe River. The fully equipped and air conditioned conference room seats a maximum of 100 people, depending on the seating configuration. For guests needing to keep in touch, broadband internet access is available at the Thwene bar, a stylish cigar bar with a champion sized billiard table and outside terrace overlooking the Chobe River. Chobe Game Lodge also has a reference library with lounge and terrace.
Your stay at Chobe Game Lodge is inclusive of accommodation, all meals, local brand beverages, complimentary mini bar in room, unlimited activities, park entrance fees and laundry service.
Children
Chobe Game Lodge accepts children of all ages. No childcare/baby-sitters are provided for at any of our properties. Children must be under the care of their parents at all times. No children may share in the Chobe Game Lodge suites. Children aged 16 yrs (inclusive) and younger must share with a parent at all times. PRIVATE ACTIVITIES must be booked for families with children younger than 6 years old at an additional rate, subject to availability.
Activities
All safari activities are tailored to suit individual requirements. Game drives, game viewing by small boats with a maximum capacity of twelve guests, sunset cruises along the Chobe River and after-dinner stargazing are offered.
Game drives are conducted in open sided 4X4 vehicles ensuring maximum visibility, while game viewing on the Chobe River is conducted by small, shallow draft and highly maneuverable boats, perfect for morning or sunset cruises. Enjoy a cruise along the Chobe River on our double-decker river cruiser, the Mosi-oa-Tunya with on board bar and snacks.
Wildlife
Chobe National Park includes vast landscapes, open
plains, Baobab Trees and ancient woodlands. Wildlife in Chobe roams
free
in profusion and diversity. The Elephant population, estimated to number
in excess of 45,000, is the largest single concentration in Africa surviving
within the confines of a National Park. However, Chobe is not fenced
and its Elephants are free to wander where the choose.
During the dry season, the herds migrate from south to north and congregate
along the perennial Chobe River and fertile floodplains. The sight is
spectacular and unforgettable - red winter sunsets, Elephant, Buffalo
in their thousands. The quality of timeless Africa is real and very strong
and the vistas are of an almost bygone era.
